4 Days Kidepo Valley Wildlife Safari
This 4 Days Kidepo Valley Wildlife Safari: takes you to “Africa’s True wilderness” for your safari in Uganda. The safari will generally take you to Kidepo Valley National Park “The oasis’s in the valley”. As a matter of fact, this makes the best water hole which attracts animals to a closure range. This also makes it the only park in Uganda that compares to a ranch with best views on the game drive. The park is shouldered by mountains giving it a resemblance to the Ngorongoro crater. It is also spiced up with variety of animals like the cheetahs, cape buffalos, giraffes and much more. Additionally, the park has a very impressive bird list of over 470 species. In fact, it is the second highest bird record of any Ugandan protected areas after Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kitgum
After breakfast, you will be picked by one of your driver and thereafter drive north of the city. However, along the way, you will enjoy scenic views of the Karuma Falls, which is among a series on the river Nile. Head to Gulu town for lunch and here you will not fail to notice the fruits of peace after the 20 years of rebel insurgence. After lunch, you will proceed with your journey to Kitgum for Dinner and overnight stay

Day 2: Kidepo valley national park-Evening game drive
After an early morning breakfast, you will depart for Kidepo Valley National Park driving through the Acholi tribe small communities. In fact, the road winds through the mountain ranges of Keler and Loniyilli which offers some of the amazing views. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and check in your lodge, freshen up as you prepare for an afternoon game drive. Later you will go a game drive in the Narus Valley to look out for different animals. Some of these include; Lions, Giraffes, Jackson hartebeests, Leopards, African Buffaloes and Cheetahs. Later in the evening you will return to your lodge to enjoy the sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 3: Morning game drive-Nature walk
You will your early morning breakfast, then head out in search for the early risers as they look out for their meals. Some of these include; elephants, giraffes, zebras lions, cape Buffaloes not to mention but a few. Afterwards, return to your lodge for lunch and later in the afternoon you will be joined by an expert ranger guide for a nature walk. Here, you will explore the park on foot away from the steel clad of safari car sharing his knowledge of the Eco-system. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge.

Day 4: Driving back to Entebbe/Kampala
You will have an early morning breakfast and later hit the road to start on your journey back to Entebbe/Kampala. You will have a stopover in Gulu town for lunch and then proceed with your journey reaching late in the evening.

Best time to visit Kidepo Valley National Park
The park is open for tourism throughout the year, however the best time to visit is in September to March. This is simply because the park is perfect for game viewing which gather around Narus valley for water since this is a dry period. Therefore, the best weather and peak season months are September, October, November and March.
