4 Days Uganda Chimp Tracking & Wildlife Safari
This 4 Days Uganda Chimp Tracking & Wildlife safari : basically takes you to some of Uganda’s attractive places. The safari will first take you to Kibale Forest National Park where you will do your chimpanzee tracking. This park generally hosts over 60 mammal species, over 336 bird species including 4 species not recorded in any other park. The safari will also take you to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is one of Uganda’s most visited parks. More so, the park is a home to various mammals like the tree climbing lions, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, etc. Besides, it hosts over 600 bird species making it a must visit destination for birders. While here, you will do your game drives, visit Lake Katwe as well as a boat cruise on Kazinga channel.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park-Nature walk
After an early breakfast, you will be picked by one of our representatives and later start on your journey to Kibale Forest National Park. Along the way you, will have awesome and spectacular views of the Rwenzori ranges and the countryside of the area. Later, you will have a stopover for lunch and afterwards proceed with your journey. Upon arrival in the park, you will check in your lodge. Later in the afternoon, you will have a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you will be able to spot various bird species. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking -Transfer to Queen Elizabeth
After having your morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for briefing. Afterwards, you will hit the forest in search for the chimpanzees. Once you locate them, you will have a full hour in their presence, viewing and taking photographs as you enjoy their daily activities. While here, you will also come across various primates. Some of these include; L’Hoests monkeys, white and black colobus, Grey cheeked Mangabey, red tailed monkeys, etc. Afterwards, you will return to the lodge for lunch, check out and thereafter transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 3: Morning Game drive-Afternoon boat cruise
Having your early morning breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive. While here, you will look out for various wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffalos, waterbucks, antelopes, etc. Later you will drive back to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will go for a 2–3-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. While here, you will have a chance to see crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, elephants, hippos, etc. You will also spot different bird species like the Shoebill, Martial Eagle, African Skimmers, Grey Headed Kingfisher, etc. In the evening you will drive back to the lodge, have dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 4: A visit to Lake Katwe-Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe
After breakfast, you will drive towards Lake Katwe where you will be able to see various salt pans. Actually the lake is Uganda’s oldest salt mine. While here, you will be able to interact with the miners as you get to know the different types of salt mined here. Thereafter, you will proceed with your journey and have a stop over in Mbarara for lunch. Continue your journey to Kampala/Entebbe reaching late in the afternoon.

Chimpanzee tracking & Permits
In Uganda, chimpanzee tracking is done throughout the year and chimpanzee permit goes for $200 per person. However, the permit is payable through the Uganda Wildlife Authority or through a registered tour Company. Chimpanzee tracking is only done during morning hours since this is the time when these creatures are seen active while during day time they are busy resting.

Standard 4X4 Safari Vans/Land cruisers
Our standard mode of transport is by road and we use 4×4 Safari van and Land cruisers with open roof tops customized for game viewing and photography. Each Safari van/Land cruiser comes with a professionally trained driver/guide with fuel for the whole safari. Each client is entitled to a window seat and can take up to 8-10 people. We also have very comfortable super customs which can carry up 6 people with their luggage also have small vehicles like Alphads, Harrier and much more that can carry 4-5 people.
