Nyungwe Forest National Park
This 3 Days Nyungwe Rwanda Safari Experience : takes you to home of the biggest population and diversity of primates in Rwanda. In addition, it is one of the oldest rain forests in Africa as well as rich in biodiversity and spectacularly beautiful. Besides, this forest is bordered by the Rwanda-Burundi border in the South. Lake Kivu and the Democratic Republic of Congo lie on the west side of the park.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Transfer to Nyungwe
Today you will arrive at the airport where a representative from Great Nest Image Safaris and later transfer you to Nyungwe National Park. Upon arrival, check in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking-Visit the Gisakura tea estate
After your early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters. While here, you are briefed about the dos and don’ts and later hit the forest in guidance of an experience ranger. Upon locating the chimps, you are given some time as you enjoy their daily activities as well as take photos and videos for remembrance. In fact, during the tracking, you also come across other primates and some bird species.
Afterwards, head back to the lodge for lunch and some power nap. Later in the evening, you will visit the Gisakura tea estate and here will discover how tea is locally processed. The processes include; tea growing, harvesting, processing as well as packaging. Afterwards, you will also be given a chance to taste the delicious tea. Afterwards, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Return to Kigali-Departure
On this final day, you will have your breakfast, check out of the lodge and later transfer the Airport to catch up with your flight back home.
