15 Days Best of Uganda Holiday Safari
This 15 Days Best of Uganda Holiday Safari : takes you to some of the most visited places in Uganda with different attractions and activities to enjoy. Firstly, the safari will take you to L. Mburo National Park famous for its highest concentration of zebras. Secondly, it will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, famous for the mountain gorillas. Thirdly, the safari will take you to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is a key attraction to the tree climbing lions. Fourthly, the safari will continue to Kibale Forest National Park, having the highest concentration of primates in Uganda.
You will continue your safari to Murchison Falls National Park, famous for its strongest water falls. You will then head to Kidepo Valley National Park, the only park in Uganda where you are able to spot the cheetahs and the ostrich. You will proceed to Kapchorwa for the three series of water falls and Community visits. Lastly, you will conclude your safari with Jinja City, the second busiest city after Uganda’s capital Kampala.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Equator Experience-Travel to L.Mburo National Park
After having your early morning breakfast, you will be picked by one of our drivers. Later, start on your journey to L.Mburo National Park which is Uganda’s smallest savannah park. Generally, its famous for its highest concentration of zebras. In addition, its known for its uniqueness of the 13 lakes of which 5 are located in the park. The Park harbors over 68 mammal species as well as over 315 bird species. Besides, you will have your first stopover at the Uganda Equator for the Equator moments and different equatorial experiments. Afterwards, you will continue with your journey to Lake Mburo National Park, check in direct to your lodge for lunch.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive-Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
After your breakfast, you will check out of your lodge then head for a morning game drive. While here, you will look out for different animals. These include; zebras, impalas, elands, topis, oribis, impalas, waterbucks, reedbucks etc. Later exit the park, have lunch in Mbarara town then proceed with your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Generally, Uganda protects an estimated number of over 400 mountain gorillas which is roughly half of the world’s population. More so, the biologically diverse region also provides shelter to over 120 mammals, including several primate species.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking-Batwa Cultural Experience
After your early morning breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters. Before setting off to the forest, you will be briefed by the park rangers about the dos and don’ts while trekking. Later, hit the forest and start off the trekking guided by the rangers. Upon locating one of the gorilla family, you will spend 1 hour in their presence, taking photos, watching them feed etc.
Afterwards, you will head back to the park headquarters where you will be awarded with a gorilla trekking certificate. Later, return to the lodge for lunch and a power nap. In the evening you will go for the Batwa cultural experience (native culture in the forest). While here, you will get exposed to their culture & norms; dance, lifestyle as well as storytelling. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will have your early morning breakfast and later set off to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This park is remarkably known for its beautiful scenery, rolling hills as well as physical features which resulted from the formation of the East African Rift Valley. Besides, the key attraction in this park is the tree climbing lions in Ishasha sector. However, the park has got other interesting activities like the boat cruise, game drives, chimpanzee tracking not to mention but a few.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive-Afternoon Boat Cruise
On this day, you will have an early morning breakfast and later proceed with your early morning game drive. This game drive particularly allows you to spot the early risers and nocturnal animals like the leopards as they head back to their dens. Other animals to spot include; lions, elephants, Uganda kobs, buffalos among others. Later, you will head back to the lodge for lunch before proceeding for a boat cruise at the Kazinga Channel. The boat will provide a perfect platform for viewing most of the aquatic wildlife like the hippos and crocodiles. For the bird lovers, this is also a great spot for different bird species. Later head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After having your breakfast, you will proceed with your journey to Kibale Forest National Park via Fort portal town. While on your way, you will start experiencing the beauty of Uganda. You will see great landscapes, beautiful birds as well as the Ruwenzori Mountain ranges. Upon arrival, you will check in your lodge for lunch, dinner and overnight stay. As a matter of fact, this park harbors the highest concentration of habituated chimpanzees. However, it also gives you higher chances of coming across other primates. These include; black and white colobus, red tailed monkeys, olive baboons, blue monkeys etc.

Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking
After your early morning breakfast, you will head to the headquarters. While here, you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts before going for your chimpanzee tracking activity. Kibale forest national park generally hosts the highest number of primates in the whole of East Africa. After the briefing, you will be led into the forest by your ranger of the day. Upon locating these chimpanzees, you will be given one hour in their presence as you enjoy their daily activities. Therefore, don’t forget to take pictures and videos of these great moments for remembrance.

Day 8: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park-Walk to the Top of the Falls
After your morning breakfast, you will start off your journey to the magnificent Murchison Falls National Park. Additionally, it is Uganda’s largest national park with lots of natural wonders. As you enter the park, you will start with your first activity which is a walk to the top of the falls. Here, the Victoria Nile water makes its way through a narrow gorge making a thunderous sound pouring downstream in the Albert Nile. Since this place is good for memorable pictures, be ready to take as many photos and videos for memories. Later you will check in your lodge for lunch, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Morning Game Drive-Afternoon Boat Cruise
Having your early morning breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive with your packed lunch. While here, it will be a great time as you look out for various animal species. These include; buffalos, elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, oribis, Jackson’s hartebeest, spotted hyenas etc. On top of that, the park has got different bird species like the hornbills, bishops, swallows and much more. After the game drive, you will be driven direct to the dock in preparation for an afternoon boat cruise.
Later you will set off for your boat adventure and while on the cruise, you will be able to view different water animals. These include; the crocodiles, hippos and some other animals at the banks of the river as they quench their thirst. Also expect to see different bird species like the red-throated bee-eaters, kingfishers, martial eagles etc. In addition, not missing out the views of Nyamsika cliffs with their interesting historical background. Feel free to take photos and videos as you enjoy the wildlife on water. However, don’t forget to pack some snacks and drinks to enjoy while on this adventurous 3 hour’s boat cruise. You will later head back to your lodge for accommodation.

Day 10: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
You will have your early morning breakfast and later start on your journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. In fact, this park is also known as the True African Wilderness because of its uniqueness in climate, vegetation as well as the people surrounding it. While here you get the taste of the true Africans. Reaching the park, you will check in direct to your lodge, freshen up as you prepare for an evening game drive.

Day 11: Morning Game Drive-Transfer to Kotido
You will have your early morning breakfast, thereafter you will embark on a leisurely game drive through the park. While here, you will search for lions, leopards, buffalos, cheetahs, ostrich, zebras, giraffes etc. Having your packed lunch, you will set off to Kotido District arriving late afternoon. Upon arrival, you will head straight to your booked accommodation. In the evening you can decide to visit the town where you can also buy some souvenirs like the Karamajong wrappers or you can decide to rest as you prepare for the next days’ activity.

Day 12: Karamajong Cultural Experience-Transfer to Kapchorwa
After breakfast, you will head straight to one of the villages for an insight into the karamojong culture. Besides, this is one of the most unique and preserved cultures in Uganda. As a matter of fact, they still practice their cultural norms; starting from their manyattas, cultural practices as well as dances. Feel free to participate in the traditional dances and their daily activities. Besides, you can buy some souvenirs, take photos and videos with these interesting people to take back home for remembrance. Later you will proceed to Kapchorwa and check in direct to your accommodation for an overnight stay.

Day 13: Sipi Falls Hiking-Coffee Tours
After your morning breakfast, you will head to Sipi falls for a hike. Sipi falls is encompassed of three waterfalls each flowing from a different altitude that lies on the foothills of Mount Elgon. Hiking up to the top of the falls will give you tremendous and beautiful scenic views. These include; the Karamoja plains, Coffee plantations, Lake Kyoga, Mount Elgon as well as the surrounding areas. Later you will go for the coffee tours where you will have fun meeting and hanging out with the people in the coffee production chain. These include; the farmers, processors, exporters and the roasters. While here, you might also get a chance to prepare your own cup of coffee straight from the source. Later head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 14: Transfer to Jinja-Boat Cruise
You will have your morning breakfast, and later head to Jinja City located on the shores of Lake Victoria. Besides, the city sounds with lots of interesting attractions to see, with unforgettable tour experiences. After your lunch, you will take a boat to the Source of the Nile. Here, the River separates from the Lake before it begins its journey through different countries. You will also enjoy the cool breeze of the Nile as you view the amazing flora along the Nile and sight a couple of bird species that live on the Nile.

Day 15: Sezibwa Falls-Travel back to Kampala
After your breakfast, you will proceed to Sezibwa Falls which is a unique Baganda cultural site. While at the falls, you will view the river emerging from the thickets, stumbling over the sharp rocks and plunges into a whirlpool. On a good day, you will find people who come to the traditional healers. Here, they seek blessings and to dispel the curses they believe are disrupting their successes. Besides, you will enjoy the sounds and overflow of the falls. Activities here include; hiking, rock climbing, bird watching and Nature walk. However, feel free to take pictures here as many as you want for memories. Later, you will continue your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe.
