Terms and Conditions: Please we emphasize that you take time to read the terms and conditions of Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd services. Confirming a safari with of Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd assumes that you have read, fully understand and accept the terms and conditions described below.

  1. Bookings

1.1 Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd shall try to ensure that the company exceeds the expectations in every area of the tour arrangements. However, suggestions are very much appreciated in order to keep improving the quality of the service.

1.2 We as Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd provides services that include; Transportation & Car hire, Air Ticketing, Hotel reservations, excursions and other services in cooperation with independent suppliers.

1.3 All information included in clients’ itineraries is given to the best of Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd knowledge and based on the latest information available. Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd cannot be liable for modified or inaccurate information from third parties, nor for any obvious typing errors.

1.4 In order for us to reserve flights, gorilla & chimpanzee permits correctly, and we need your full real names as they appear in passport including your nationality and passport number.

1.5 Before confirming a safari, the client must inform Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd of any preferences and special requests of the participants; e.g. medical needs, diet, requirements relating to disabilities and any other requirements. Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd will meet the requests if possible.

1.6 To avoid inconvenience during your stay for the trip we advise that it is therefore essential and safer to make reservations well in advance of your planned trip.

1.7 In any event or adjustment that you may wish to add towards your booking after the first confirmed one. Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd will make the preferred adjustment where practicable and possible and confirm accordingly. Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd has the right to charge the client an extra fee relative to the actual costs, which will be added to the total invoice.

1.8 Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd reserves the right to change and re-adjust the tour schedule, transportation, accommodation and services indicated in the itinerary in the event of unpredictable circumstances that may seem not favorable before arrival. Therefore any changes to the itinerary will be communicated to the client as soon as possible.

  1. Prices

2.1 The prices quoted for the various safaris are as per the itinerary and include the following services, unless stated otherwise: overnight in hotels or lodges, all meals are considered in the price, detailed itinerary, park entrance and ranger fees, airport transfers, ground transportation, English speaking driver/guides and bottled mineral water in the vehicle.

2.2 Expenses that are exclusive: international and domestic air fares, visa and passports, meals not mentioned in the itinerary, other additional drinks apart from the bottle mineral water provided in the vehicle, tips and gratuities for the guides and accommodation staff, laundry, travel insurance and other items of a personal nature.

2.3 Prices on the website or quoted to our clients are subject to change without notice and are not guaranteed until confirmed in writing.

2.4 Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd reserves the right to adjust prices quoted on the website at any time in case of any increase or decrease in the exchange rate or increase in the cost of any element of the tour. The company will however make every effort to minimize any increases.

  1. Execution of Tour

3.1 It is a privilege to see animals in their natural habitat and as such, we cannot guarantee wildlife or game viewing. You must follow instructions and cautions given by either the tour guide or wildlife rangers carefully before or during the viewing of the park animals.

3.2 A gorilla or chimpanzee permit only guarantees clients to track the primates in question but does not guarantee or not a must that you will find the animals in plain sight.

3.3 Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd reserves the right to book and also substitute equivalent or superior hotels according to the client’s needs. And if a hotel of equivalent standard is not available Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd may replace with the next best quality hotel or suggest superior standard accommodation whereby extra charges may apply.

3.4 The mode of transport used will be dependent on the number of clients and the route taken, based on the specifications of the chosen itinerary. Every effort is made to ensure that vehicles are provided in a roadworthy condition but no liability can be accepted for a puncture, breakdown, damage, or any delay as a result of the poor road conditions.

3.5 Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd reserves the right to sign a company’s representative that is to say an experienced English speaking driver/guides. In this case, he/she is a key part of your tour. He/she is the only person(s) allowed to drive Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd vehicles. The driver’s decision on all matters, such as the route taken, is final and not forged.

3.6 Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd reserves the right to choose and suggest another alternative on any route or arrangement, in case of any event of unforeseen circumstances that might lead to cancellation of the scheduled tour or vary the safari services, such as road closures, bad weather, problems with national parks or hotels and security considerations. In such cases, alternative arrangements will be made as circumstances permit.

3.7 Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd reserves the right to refuse any person from participating or continuing any tour if, the person concerned behaves in such a way that looks wired or even un wanted behaviors not required on a trip according to the country’s authority whereby later cause or be likely to cause danger, hazard or inconvenience to any third party, damage to property or to environments and ecosystems. No refunds will be made and Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd shall not be liable for expenses incurred as a result of the termination.

  1. Payment

4.1 For all tours to be booked and confirmed it will be done upon receipt of a 30% deposit of the basic total rate. While a full advance payment of the permit fee is required in order to make the reservation prior the time for gorilla and chimpanzee tracking. The payment balance is due no later than 45 days prior to the safari, unless agreed otherwise.

4.2 Bookings made within 45 days before arrival must be paid in full at the time of confirmation. If payment is not received in accordance with the above, Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd has the right to cancel the booking.

4.3 Payment can be made by VISA credit card, bank transfer or cash, before the start of the safari. Note that payments by VISA credit card attract a 5% service charge. Credit card transactions must be made at least two months prior the time to start of your safari

  • The costs of international transactions (or 5% service charge in case of credit card payments) are to be fully paid by the client.
  1. Cancellations & Refunds

5.1 All sorts of cancellation requests by clients must be made in writing and shall be effective on the date of actual receipt by Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd.

5.2 The following cancellation charges apply to the basic program rate and Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd has the right to deduct all expenses incurred from money paid.

Note that Gorilla permits and air tickets are 100% non-refundable.

60 days or more prior to arrival is 10% charge
59 – 30 days prior to arrival is 25% charge
29 – 20 days prior to arrival is 50% charge
19 – 3 days prior to arrival is 75% charge
48 hours or even late communication about the cancellation prior to arrival               100% charge

5.3 Getting a gorilla permit is not a guarantee of seeing a gorilla. Local conditions sometimes mean that access to the gorillas is made impossible at short notice. However note that the chances of seeing the gorillas stand at 98%

5.4 Cancellation by us; occasionally we don’t hope to cancel confirmed bookings. We always endeavor to avoid cancellations, but on the other side we must reserve the right to do so. We shall not cancel your confirmed holiday less than 60 days before departure unless we are forced to do so as a result of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, or any other consequences that seems to be of danger and out of company’s control during the tour.

5.4 No refunds will be made for any unused services, late arrival or no appearance of any of the members of the tour.

  1. Complaints

6.1 Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd shall try its level best by all possible means to ensure the good service offer that exceeds the expectations in every area of the tour arrangements. However, advises and suggestions are welcomed and are very much appreciated in order to keep improving the quality of the service.

6.2 In case of any complaint got during the trip, it must be reported immediately to our representative and to the supplier of the service in question, who will do their best to resolve the matter. If the problem is not well solved to client’s satisfaction, please you can contact our managing director in Entebbe such that proper and immediate solution to the problem is generated and not later than 20 days after the completion of the safari.

6.3 Liability for any complaints not notified in accordance with the above described procedure cannot be accepted.

  1. Liability

7.1 Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd will make every effort to ensure that all arrangements and services offered as part of the safari are made in appropriate, specified and in the most efficient way possible. However, the company does not have direct control of the provision of services by suppliers and, whilst every supplier is chosen with the utmost care, Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd does not accept liability for errors or omissions of such suppliers.

7.2 Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury of any nature whatsoever whether to person or property.

7.3 While every needed care is taken accordingly, Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd cannot be held responsible for the direct or indirect costs of loss or damage to baggage or personal possessions.

7.4 Great Nest Image Safaris Ltd will not be held liable to pay or compensate for unforeseen circumstances beyond the company’s control or its staff, including flight delays/cancellations or force majeure such as war or threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist acts, border closure, acts of government or other authorities, strikes, thefts, epidemics, road closures, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, extreme weather conditions, fire, technical and/or mechanical problems to transport and all similar events that appear to be beyond the control of the company.

7.5 The travel agency/wholesaler is responsible to ensure that all members of the tour have the appropriate passports, visas, travel permits, health certificates and other documentation required for the safari. The clients are responsible of taking proper medical and practical precautions in regard with their health and safety. Medical advice should be sought well before travelling.

7.6 Clients are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance before the time of coming to Uganda.

7.7 It’s with great pleasure and at the same time our responsibility to offer you well maintained safari vehicle for your trip. Therefore, in case of any breakdown the company is held responsible to find possible means resolve the emergency, either repair if it’s minor breakdown or even replace another vehicle if the breakdown is beyond management at the time.
