Mountain Health
Do not attempt to climb the Rwenzori unless you are reasonably fit. Drink at least three litres of liquid daily, and bring enough water bottles to carry this.
Clothing and Equipment
Rain is to be expected at all times of the year so pack a decent waterproof jacket and trousers which you’ve tried on before the climb and taker plenty of plastic bags, both to keep clean clothes, dry and to quarantine wet or dirty garments.
Some paths are incredibly muddy after ran so you will need hiking boots if scaling any peaks. If you intend to climb one of the glacial peaks, carry ropes, ice axes, crampons and walking sticks and all these can be hired from your mountain operator.
