This 21 Days Uganda Adventure Safari: you will obviously enjoy the Africa’s Beauty. Basically, it will take you to some of the most exciting destinations in the pearl of Africa Uganda. First of all it will take you Jinja for the city adventure. Secondly to the Sipi falls for “the three series of water falls”. Thirdly, to Murchison Falls National Park famous for the strongest water falls. Fourthly, to Kibale Forest National park famous for its highest concentration of primates. Then to Queen Elizabeth National Park famous for its tree climbing lions. The safari will also take you to Semilik National Park for the Sempaya Hot Springs. You will also explore Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for your Gorilla tracking. You safari will also take you to Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa. Later you will head to Lake Mburo National Park for game viewing. And lastly, to Ssese Island for your memorable experience.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival to the Airport-Transfer to the Hotel
Upon arrival, you will be picked by one of our representatives from Great Nest Image Safaris. Afterwards, you will be transferred to your booked hotel in Entebbe/Kampala for your accommodation. Depending on the time of arrival, you can decide to visit some of the places. These include; the busy big markets, African craft shops, etc. Dinner and overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Day 2: Visit Sezibwa falls-Transfer to Jinja-Boat ride
After an early morning breakfast, you will start off your journey to Jinja City. As a matter of fact, this is Uganda’s former industrial town during the colonial times in Uganda. You will have a stopover at Sezibwa falls which will give you a glimpse into the traditional beliefs of Buganda kingdom and great pictures from the scenery and landscape. Later you will proceed to Jinja, heading straight for your boat ride to the Nile. Generally, this is the longest River in Africa and here you will have a chance to explore the source of the Nile. Later, check in you lodge for Dinner and overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Kapchorwa
You will have breakfast in the morning and set off to Kapchorwa. Upon arrival, you check in your lodge, have lunch and freshen up. Later, you can opt for a community visit or nature walk. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Hike to Sipi falls
After your breakfast in the morning and later hike to the Sipi falls. The falls are generally formed by the Sipi River as it cascades downhill from the upper slopes of Mount Elgon. While here, you will also enjoy the views of the beautiful scenery of Mt. Elgon and low land plains. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park-Top of the falls
After an early breakfast you will transfer to the magnificent Murchison Falls National Park. This is generally Uganda’s largest national park with lots of natural wonders. Upon arrival in the park, you will head straight to the Top of the falls. While here, you will listen and enjoy the sound of the mighty flowing water. It is also here that water thunders through different rapids from a 7 metre gap to fall into the devil’s cauldron. Later check in your dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Morning game drive-Launch cruise
You will have an early morning breakfast then later head for a morning game drive. While here, you will have a chance to view different wildlife such as buffalos, elephants, giraffes, waterbucks etc. Later you will head to the dock, enjoy your packed lunch as you get ready for a boat cruise. Afterwards, you will go for the launch cruise which will give you an exciting view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. Along the cruise, you will also encounter hippos, crocodiles, as well as birds on the river banks. The boat cruise takes approx. 3hrs therefore don’t forget to pack some snacks and drinks to enjoy while on the boat. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will prepare for a long drive to Kibale Forest National Park. You will have lunch in Fort Portal town and later will proceed to the Park arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8: Chimpanzee tracking-Bigodi Swamp Walk
You will have an early morning breakfast and go for a briefing by the park rangers. Later, you will set off the chimpanzee tracking within Kibale forest. Here, you will be equipped with lofts of information about the forest and different flora and fauna. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will have a full hour in their presence as you enjoy their daily activities. Later, after lunch, you will go a nature walk in the Bigodi swamp area. In addition, the forest has over 340 species of birds and therefore a good place for the bird lovers. Later you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Transfer to Semuliki National Park
Have breakfast in the morning then transfer to Semiliki National Park. The park is known as a top birding destination in Uganda hosting over 410 bird species. Furthermore, it is adjacent to Semliki Wildlife Reserve and also hosts over 60 mammal species. Upon arrival, you will check in your lodge in time for lunch and later you can opt for an evening nature walk or community visit. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Visit the Sempaya Hot springs-Transfer to Fort Portal
After breakfast, you will have a walk in the forest for primate and bird species watching. Later you will proceed to the hot springs of Sempaya that has a temperature of more than 100 degrees Celsius. In addition, it has hot surrounding pools and here will also have a chance to taste different kinds of foods. These include; boiled eggs, bananas, meat etc all boiled from the springs. Later you will transfer to Fort portal town for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park-Evening game drive
After your breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, you will check in your lodge, have lunch and relax. Later in the evening you will go for a game drive in Northern crater area. While here, you be able to spot some animals like warthogs, baboons, lions, elephants and etc. Dinner and overnight stay

Day 12: Morning game drive-Afternoon boat cruise
After an early morning breakfast you will go for the morning game drive in the Kasenyi area. As a matter of fact, this place is well known as the kob mating grounds. It is therefore perfect place to spot a lot of kobs and antelopes like the sitatungas. Other wildlife to spot include; lions, elephants, hyenas, buffalos, among others. Later you will head back to your lodge, freshen up and have lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel famous for its highest hippopotamus, you will also spot crocodiles, buffalos, elephants and other animals as they come down to quench their thirst. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you will set off to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. However, you will pass through Ishasha sector and depending on your luck, you might view of the rare tree climbing lions. Surprisingly, these can be seen lounging in the fig trees during mid-morning as they rest from the previous night’s strenuous hunt. Later, you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in preparation for your next day of Gorilla trekking. Dinner and overnight stay and your lodge.

Day 14: Gorilla trekking-Batwa Cultural Experience
You will have your early morning breakfast then drive to the park headquarters. While here, you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts during the trekking. Later you will go for the gorilla trekking and upon locating them, you will be given 1 hour while in their presence. Afterwards, you will go back to the headquarters where will be rewarded with a certificate. You will then be driven back to the lodge for lunch. Later in the evening you will go for the Batwa Cultural Experience which will expose you to their culture. These will include; stories basing on how they live as well as cultural dances. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 15: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi-Canoeing
You will have your breakfast and later depart for Lake Bunyonyi well known as the second deepest Lake in Africa. Generally, the Lake has 29 Islands and is a good stop over for relaxation from trekking Mountain Gorillas. After checking in your lodge, you will go for a Canoeing and here you will be able to visit most of the Islands on the Lake.
The Islands on the Lake were basically named according to the different bird species found on the Island. Besides, some were named for different reasons for example the Punishment Island. This is the smallest and was used by the Bakiga people to drop their girls who got pregnant before marriage. While here you will also learn a lot about the people that inhabit the Islands. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 16: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, you will start on your journey to Lake Mburo National Park. You will drive across the rolling hills and slopes of Kabale well known as the “Switzerland of Africa”. Of course you will have a stopover in Mbarara Town for lunch. Later you will proceed to the Park, check in for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 17: Game Drive-Boat cruise
After an early morning breakfast, you will go for an early morning game drive in search for different. These include; zebras, elands, topi, oribis, buffalos etc. Later in the afternoon, you will go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo and here will you will have a chance to see Hippos and Crocodiles. Later you will return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 18: Guided nature walk-Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe
After breakfast, you will have a guided walk escorted by the park rangers. You will be able to visit the salt lick, viewing different animals like the buffalo as they quench their thirst. In addition, during your nature walk, you will also come across different bird species. Later you will return to the lodge, check out and start on your journey to Entebbe/Kampala. You will have a stopover at the equator for photography, experiment and refreshments and later proceed with your journey, arriving late in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 19: Transfer to Ssese Islands
After your breakfast, you will be transferred to Nakiwogo Landing site where you will board a ship to Lutoboka. Here the journey takes about 3 hours therefore watch out for different water bird species. As soon as you land, you will be driven direct to check in your lodge. Later in the evening you will enjoy the sweet melodies from different bird species with a cool rewarding breeze from the lake. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 20: Nature walk-Beach relaxation
You will have breakfast and later go for a nature walk in the nearby forest on the Island. Here you will be able to sight some primates like the monkeys as well as different bird species like the Flycatchers, Hornbills, Herons, Kingfishers etc. You will spend the afternoon relaxing on the white sand beaches around the Island. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 21: Transfer to Entebbe-Departure
After breakfast, you check out of the lodge and board a ship back to Entebbe. However, you will have lunch in Entebbe and later you will be transferred to the Airport for your flight back home.

Requirements
Permits
In Uganda chimpanzee and Gorilla tracking is done throughout the year. Chimpanzee permit goes for $100 per person while a Gorilla trekking permit goes for $800 per person. However, all these are payable through the Uganda Wildlife Authority or through our Company.
Requirements for the safari
- Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits should be paid in advance through our Company or Uganda Wildlife Authority.
- Proof of Yellow fever vaccination.
- Good physical, fit health and mental condition.
- Uganda Visa which can be got on arrival at the Airport.
- Travelers must be at least 15 years old on the day the trekking.
